As we enter into level 2 we would like to provide you with an update about what this means for us, and for you. Below are some answers to frequent questions.
Are you open under level 2?
Yes we are. Level two opens our doors to you!! (in a controlled manner, of course) We couldn't be any happier to open again, we have missed seeing all of our customers and helping them out.
When you visit us in level two we will maintain a register for contact tracing and we will be following all guidelines for protection to keep our staff and you safe. We will also be checking for any COVID-19 risk factors before you come in. Our optometry association has also asked us to keep interactions as brief as possible and limit the number of people in-store.
What if I am feeling unwell or suffering from a common cold?
We are still asking if you are sick, have any symptoms, have travelled overseas recently or have had contact with someone with COVID-19, please stay home and consult Healthline.
Are you taking glasses and contact lens orders?
Yes we are - as expected with the pressure on our postal system things are a bit slower than usual.. but we are still taking glasses and contact lens orders. We can take your orders through the store, via phone or email. If you would prefer to not come into the store we can arrange for contactless delivery by giving us a call on 09 489 4797 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I get an eye test?
Yes, we are offering all of our standard services. We will ask a few questions before we take your booking, and your eye test will be performed by an optometrists wearing protective equipment to keep you and our staff safe.
What do I do if I have a sore or red eye?
It's best to give us a call about your problem, and our optometrists can assess this over the phone and provide you with some solutions or next steps.
How can I protect myself when coming in for an eye test?
We recommend following the COVID-19 restrictions, such as utilising social distancing and making sure you are washing your hands and contact tracing.
In our store, we have many signs and stickers to help you. We also have hand sanitiser available for you to use when you enter into the store, and leave. We are sanitising several times throughout the day, and making sure all of our equipment and everything in our store is nice and clean for you. We will have a contact tracing form to fill out when you come into the store, whether you come in for an eye test, to ask a question or to collect something.
Our staff are following guidelines and using different protective methods, and our optometrists will complete eye tests with protective gear to keep you and them safe.

How can I make an appointment?
We have a couple of ways to make an appointment with us.
1. You can give us a call on 09 489 4797 and one of our staff can book you in with one of our optometrists.
2. You can book online through our website, or facebook.
3. You can email us at email@example.com and we can book an appointment for you.
Can I get my glasses adjusted or repaired?
Yes! We are still able to help with adjustments and repairs in store, and we are able to send your glasses to our repairer if needed. If you need any adjustments or repairs, come and see us!
What are your hours during level two?
Our hours have returned to our standard hours as per below.
